Hostile Contact is a love story filled with heaps of suspense and drama. The drama keeps you coming back for more. You will fall in love with the characters and leave you wanting to read the sequel.   The love that develops between Symone and Trevor is awe inspiring. To see them go through so much and coming out together and stronger is heartwarming.
I love mystery and suspense books, this one is right at the top of my favorites. I love the way the author keeps you intrigued from page to page. I thought I had it all figured out but then was thrown for a loop every time until the end.

Tamala started writing as a dare and a favor to her children, at the time their ages were 15 and 6 years old.

Always a storyteller, she would make everything around her come to life and became the center of attention in her family as the characters would seem so real.

Requesting a story plot from her oldest daughter, Tamala began to write based on characters developed by her teenager and the story spiraled from there. 7 full novels later, Tamala had a series by the name of SuperNatural that was based in her hometown and featured witches, werewolves & vampires.

Wondering if she could write in another genre, an idea hit her after being pranked by her younger brother, the Hostile series was born. Hostile Contact & Hostile Vengeance is a suspense, thriller, romance that has taken off unexpectedly.

Her writing is fast paced and only slows down enough to let you catch your breath every now and then. She’ll always have you wondering, worried, anxious, and spellbound, unable to wait for the next chapter. If you love emotional reads, page turners, you’ll love her writing style in both genres.

Tamala is married, with two daughters, now 19 & 11 and takes her inspiration from her family, friends, & surroundings.

Review:

Grade: A

Though this novel has got a bit of a political vibe to it, the skill of the writing made it so I enjoyed reading it. I’m not one who’s big on political books, but this had the right mix of action, suspense, and political that I continued to enjoy reading it.

The novel felt real, and didn’t feel fake or hokey in any way, though the political theme does run deep throughout, so if you’re generally really against politics, then this book isn’t for you. The writing was solid and lent a lot of creditability to the novel and made it flow really well and easy to read. I found myself reading it and not realizing that time had flown by. I was moving through this book a lot faster than other books I’ve read due to the great pace of the novel along with the interesting plot.

I’ve read a lot of thrillers, like James Patterson, or John Grisham, and this book would fit among them. Jack Cannon is quite the hero; he drives the plot and embodies what a lot of Americans are looking for in a political leader. Though I don’t always agree with politics, I don’t believe that readers of political books need to pick this book up right now, because you’ll love it. It has everything you are looking for and more.

I enjoyed reading this book, I think it was descriptive, detailed and well thought out. This really isn’t my usual genre, but I can appreciate a well written book in any genre and that is definitely it. Jack Cannon is a great hero, and he definitely is alive on the page. All around, this book wouldn’t have been my first choice, but upon reading the whole story, I can see its appeal and suggest to all those lovers of political drama, political thrillers, James Patterson and John Grisham, check this book out, because you are going to love it!

Plus, I hear there are more on the way by Greg Sandora…

I’m originally from the Portland, Maine area and lived and worked there for years before moving to Southwest Florida. I am currently working on the sequel to Jack Canon’s American Destiny – which will be titled Jack Canon Clean Sweep. The sequel will be available in about three months.
My Dad and Mom were artists, my father painted and my mother wrote poetry and loved to garden. Most Saturdays we loaded up the 1970 Chevy Impala to trek to a one man show somewhere or other. I took a different track graduating with a business degree; owning and operating an Award Winning Franchise Fitness Center. Currently a professional manager I am living in Florida with my beautiful wife and children, and following my passion.
Some of my other projects include a children’s book called Sammy the Sea Turtle – about an infant sea turtle taken from his nest the night he was to find his way to the sea. Sammy lives with the family until their son – the boy who took him, graduates from high school. On that day Sammy, backpack in tow – begins the long journey home.
My second project in the works involves angels – a man during a visit to Bar Harbor Maine encounters an angel; quite accidentally, he is told – she was not supposed to make him aware of her existence. Only three others have ever seen the real thing. Naturally he falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful creature.

Review:

Jack Be Nimble takes us on a journey through the lives and relationship of Jack and Mercedes. This is the core plot line throughout this book, and they both are struggling to keep their separate lives together, when all they want is to be together. They just haven’t completely realized it.

Note, this is NOT a romance novel, so those of you uninterested in romance keep reading, I bet this book will have something that interests you because this book has it all.

Spies, Heartbroken lovers, kidnapping, photographers, England, France, swimming, hidden weapons and action

Truckloads of action!

The other core plot line of the novel is spies, kidnapping, and secret missions. This novel could rivel any military novel, spy novel out there. It’s got all the hallmarks of a good action novel, but it also has the characters and history for a love story.

To be honest, the only reason this book got a B+ and not an A+ was because the scene switches were a little hard for me. I got lost a couple times trying to figure out if I was in real life, fiction life, or past time. The stories are amazing, well written and completely understandable once you are in a scene. I may be the only person who got confused but I loved this book so much, it didn’t hinder me from continuing! J

By the time you make it to the end of this novel, it all becomes clear, so hold on for the twist and turns and a bit of confusion from past and present stories, and enjoy it. This novel is the perfect premise for a well thought out, logical action movie!  Jack is an amazing character; the depth in the character is clearly present from the beginning, in the future scenes, current scenes, and past scenes. Jack’s character never wavers.

I love this novel, I’ll definitely be checking out his other novels, to see what happens to Jack next, and you should too! J

So a little about the book, here’s a quick blurb!

Forced to run for her life, she stumbles into the realm of the Alamir, human warriors infused with powerful magic who defend the delicate balance between good and evil. But not even the Alamir can protect her from the Bok’Na’Ra pursuer that murdered her family.

Lord Darknight and Midir, raised as brothers, are the light and the dark of a single soul, split apart by ancient priests when but a child. Midir has known of Etain’s existence most of her life and has conspired to possess the power she holds, power that will give him reign over the evil Bok’Na’Ra, nemesis of the Alamir. Lord Darknight, Dar to those closest to him, unaware of her existence, rescues the young woman after a violent clan battle which proves to be a pivotal moment in both their lives. His charge as a Krymerian mandates he protect and train her in the ways of a warrior however soon realizes their connection runs much deeper than teacher to student.

Old friends reunite and unexpected alliances are forged as Midir’s thirst for power escalates. It will take the courage of an Alamir, combined with the strength of a Krymerian, to battle the dark brother’s rising influence over the Bok’Na’Ra while, at the same time, will test a passionate bond too powerful to ignore.

Come on, tell me that doesn’t sound like a kick ass fantasy novel? J.D Miller is a indie author, self publishing this book, and working on her second book.

More about J.D Miller from her website:

Nesa1

“I’m just a little ole Texan living in the motherland – England – with my English husband. I moved here about 3-1/2 years ago leaving all my family & friends back in Texas – parents, brother, 2 daughters, 1 son, 1 talented grandson & 1 gorgeous granddaughter.  But, on the bright side, I resumed my writing which had been put on hold for far too long. There was a time when I dreamed of being an Interior Designer however that was shot to hell. It’s okay, really, I’m fine with it now. Being an author has its share of stresses but most are self-inflicted – not because of some insane client telling me how to do my job.

Blood of Kaos is the first. I have learned a lot on this path and my style has changed immensely along the way.  I hope that whatever I write you will always enjoy.”
